Washington DC

We visited the National Mall in Washington DC to see more sites we haven't showed the kids yet. It was a beautiful, sunny day. Our first stop was the Lincoln Memorial. Next was the Korean War, Veterans of Washington DC, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorials. "Out of a mountain of despair, a stone of hope," said Martin Luther King, Jr. It was cool to talk about the important people and events that lead these important events and people to be memorialized. We made a pit stop at the World War 2 Memorial to dip our feet in the water. Our final stop was the Washington Monument to play Red Rover. It is nice to visit these places without lots of crowds and learn more about their history.
