Sandy Point State Park

The Maryland Governor opened state park and beaches, so we quickly got the kids ready, packed a lunch, and quickly headed to Sandy Point State Park. It was breezy and sunny, with few people. We had a nice relaxing time, exploring, playing in the sand and the water. They found sand toys, a compass, and a dead crab. We had a great view of the Bay Bridge over the Chesapeake Bay and enjoyed watching the huge cargo ships go up and down the bay. The big kids were doing handstand contests with the little boys watching on. I love how our kids have gotten close again, playing together and making up games and ideas along the way. It helps that there are 6 of them, always someone to play with. The playground was even open and we had a fun time treating it like an obstacle course, timing the kids to see how fast they could do it. This place is definitely one we will be frequenting when we can.
