4th of July 2018
This year, we continued our 3rd annual 4th of July traditions of neighborhood parade and breakfast and face painting. Next. we headed to Colonial Days Festival in Orem to go to colonial school, be imprisoned in the stockades, explore the military vehicles and memorabilia, and eat some homemade sour dough bread. We couldn't wait for the best part of the day: the Scera Pool! Diving boards, water slides, splash pad amazingness! Travis officially swam in the deep end today! He wanted to go off the diving board sooo bad. Finally, in the last 15 minutes, we convinced him to try, promising we would save his life if he couldn't make it to the side. Well that boy did it! And did it again! And again! And again before the pool closed! No need for rescuing either! He even convinced mom to do some flips off the diving board along with him. We are so proud of that boy! We knew he could do it and he did! Now, we have 3 swimmers! Hallelujah! After closing time, we headed to the in-laws for dinner and the traditional flag birthday cake for Aaron! We ended the night with glow necklaces on our necks and in the trees and watching fireworks from our favorite view of the valley! I had taken my babes there so many times when we lived in Cedar Hills. Beautiful ending to a beautiful day! Happy Independence Day!
