Halloween Festivities

To start off our Halloween week of festivities, we had the ward Halloween Party! We have Skeletor, 2 Redskins fans, and Elsa.

Aaron is quite the artist and Maddox held as still as he could! Last year, he was a skeleton pirate for the ward party. This year, the makeup was even more technical!

I found this hat on an indoor yard sale on Facebook and thought it would be perfect for her costume and winter!

 Aaron did a little obstacle course and took 2nd place. Better luck next year, Skins!

 Crue was either mid sneeze or yawning!

For Family Home Evening, we got together with Aaron's family and carved pumpkins and ate sweets!

This pumpkin "carving" (more like hacking) kept Maddox occupied for a good hour and a half! He scratched and hacked away at with and loved it!

Daddy is very serious about the arts and worked really hard on his pumpkin with a flame face.

Tilly wanted a cat, so we carved a cat!

 Chantilly also had Red Ribbon Week at school. This was her crazy hair and crazy lips to go along with her hair!

We also made a trip to the aquarium and I had to post this picture because it was just too adorable not to share!

All tucked out from our Aquarium trip! His new obsession are these goggles! We just had to incorporate them into his costume somehow!

So, we decided on a race car driver!

 Tilly had a Halloween parade at school, so we went and watched her! I'm pretty sure 13% of the school was also Elsa!

For Halloween night, we ate pizza and got our costumes on!

The kids definitely scored with candy this year. They were done after an hour because their buckets were too heavy! The skunk took a little nap in my arms! After trick or treating, we dumped all our candy out and sorted it, and watched a movie or two while enjoying candy to our hearts desire. We enjoyed Grandma's homemade donuts that Aunt Alicia delivered to us! I let them stay up as long as they could. Crue was down first, then Aaron. Tilly and Travis (still donut in hand) were out cold by the end of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 at about 11. Maddox was sitting there in a candy trance playing with his glow sticks. So, I hauled them all off to bed! I'd say this Halloween was a definite success!
