More Vacation

After our 3 fun days at Disneyland, we decided to try and relax! So we headed to the beach! Our first beach stop was Huntington Beach! Our kids LOVE the beach! Including this big kid above! Aaron loves it most of all!
She is so pretty! She actually decided to try the water after about an hour of not going near it! We were shocked and, of course, a huge wave had to knock her down and try to drag her to sea! Thankfully, a nice guy saved her life because we were a little too far away because hadn't gone near the water until then!
Attempting to touch the water!
Loving the sun with my love!
We rented this huge 4 person bike for an hour! It was not so relaxing, especially going up hill! But it was fun anyways! Chantilly loved seeing everyone running with their dogs! Every person who would run by, she would ask, "Hey! What's your dog's name?" And they all kindly told her! How could they resist her cuteness!
It was kinda cool, and we forgot Mad's sweatshirt at the hotel! So he had to be a pink little boy on our bike ride! Sorry, bud!
The next day we decided to do something indoors because Maddox got a pretty bad sunburn on his back! I should have known better to reapply sunblock on him after an hour or two! So, we decided to go the a natural history museum at USC. It happened to be free to active military! Bonus! They loved looking at all the taxidermy animals and dinosaur bones!
Outside of the museum, they had a pretty ghetto playground with lots of graffiti, pigeons and their poop! It was great! They had a giant frog and turtle to take pictures on!
Later that evening, we went to Santa Monica to meet up with Aaron's high school friend, Blake. Before he arrived to walk the promenade and eat dinner, we had lots of fun walking the pier, seeing interesting people. I think our favorite one was a guy wearing an American flag biker helmet, an American flag thong, and a backpack! That was it! Very attractive, not! Funny thing is that he walked by us 3 times, the last time walking right between my kids while they played in the sand! Hopefully they aren't scarred for life by that image!
Loving the sand!
Loving the beach!
Really loving the sand!
Warm sand feels good!
Poor limp baby with his sun burned back! He was so tired he didn't even flinch while we put cold aloe vera on his back!
Tired after long days, with naps on the go!
The next day, we left LA and drove to San Diego to meet up with my dad! Of course, we had to hit up the beach! We went to Mission Beach and had a blast!
Maddox loved burying his new Buzz! Funny thing, I haven't seen this toy since this trip!
They dug this huge hole they called "The Cave of Wonders!" (Aladdin goes into the cave of wonder to get the lamp) After the beach, we met up with my Dad and Jane Ann, went swimming, then to Phil's BBQ! It was sooo delicious!
On our last day in Southern California, we went to Mission Bay! It was a cool day, but still had fun in the sand!
She loved looking for shells! We came back with quite a collection!
Our sweet boy!
Our sweet girl!
This was an awesome trip! 3 days of Disneyland, the beach, and family made this week the best vacation!
