Our California Adventure

In August, we went to the happiest place on Earth: Disneyland, of course! We wanted to take our kids before they cost money! We had an amazing time in Southern California!

Right before our trip, we traded our car in for something more comfy and scapious since we do all traveling in our car! We love it, especially the DVD player inside! It kept our kids happy!
Our first stop on our way to SoCal was Vegas baby! We stayed a night in the Stratosphere on the old strip! We went to the very top of it for free! It was so cool to the new ride where people free fall from the very top! If it was $120 cheaper we might have considered it!

Finally making it to LA, we met up with Aaron's high school friend, Blake, and his mom at Universal Studios. We loved walking around and seeing all the lights! The kids especially like the giant candy store!
We had an eventful dinner at the Saddlerack (I think that's what it's called)! The kids were soooo done with driving in the car and did not want to sit at all! Maddox was entertaining himself by wiping ketchup and other condiments in his hair! Tilly just wanted to ride the big horse in the restaurant! It was awesome!

Universal Studios City Walk

The next day, we spent a wonderful day at Huntington Beach! The kids LOVED the sand! It took me 2 days to get it out of their hair! They even went a few inches into the water with us!

That evening, we met up with another old friend of Aaron's, Jess, in Santa Monica! We had fun watching the crazy street acts on the Promenade!
Finally SoCal destination: Disneyland=Awesome! We were sooooo lucky! Within minutes we found Cinderella and Aurora for Tilly to meet! She was starstruck! It was awesome! Then, we went on the scariest ride of the day: The Snow White ride with the scary witch which does not have a happy ending! It scared the crap out of our kids and all day, Till asked where Snow white was because the witch poisoned her! With no luck, we could not find her anywhere!
Trying to lighten the mood, we went on the Storybook ride to show them where the Princesses lived!
We got to meet Minnie, Mickey, and Goofy and that definitely helped!
We went a lot of fun rides: Finding Nemo submarine (my favorite), Autopia, Dumbo, Carousel, and more I can't remember!
Autopia, Mad and Tilly loved driving the cars!

We went to California Adventure for 2 hours to meet Woody, Jessi, and Buzz! And went on the best ride of the day: The Toy Story ride! It was like a video game where you shoot targets and see the characters! The kids loved it! It was the best ride of the day by far!
Our kids were wiped out at 8 and both asleep in the stroller by 8:30pm. Aaron and I switched off doing the single rider line on the Indiana Jones ride while they slept! It was awesome too! Lastly, we saw the fireworks show, which only Maddox woke up to see!
Disneyland was awesome!
