The Wonder of the Seas

Our first cruise was nothing short of incredible. Let's just say that I am officially converted to being a cruise person. We went on Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship in the world (at the time I wrote this). It felt like a floating "great and spacious building." His company paid for the cruise and the hotel in Orlando at the beginning (Grand Lakes). It was the nicest hotel I will probably ever stay in and the pool was amazing! We were bussed to Cape Canaveral. We were originally supposed to go to the Eastern Caribbean, but with the hurricane that was a no go. So we went to the western side to Coco Cay, Bahamas, Cozumel, Mexico, and Roatan, Honduras. Aaron was thrilled about the change because Roatan was his dream scuba diving location. He scuba dived in both Cozumel and Roatan. I did a dolphin experience in Roatan and hung by the beach with a new friend and snorkeled in Cozumel. My favorite stop was definitely Coco Cay. We found a pretty secluded beach on the other side of the island from the ship with just a few people. We just floated and enjoyed the tranquil waters. Cruise food was amazing! Escargot every night, all you can eat food or gluten free pizza! However, nothing was better than our ocean view balcony. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of water was the best, so peaceful. Entertainment was fun with ice skating, laser tag, comedy club, gambling, movies, dive show, Waverider, golf, work dance party, the pools and hot tubs. It was fun making new friends and getting to know Aaron's coworkers and their plus ones. We ate together, played games, and chatted. Spending alone time with Aaron and reconnecting was so wonderful and essential. Taking care of 7 kids takes a lot of energy, time, money and thought. It was nice to just do us 2 for 9 days. I will always remember this special time.
