Miles
Get ready for story time. When Aaron was 18, he and his girlfriend, Jessica, had a baby boy in Virginia. They made the difficult and loving decision to place him for adoption with a wonderful family, the Johnsons. Aaron told me about Miles when we first started dating, when Miles was 4. So many experiences happening over the years took Aaron on a journey of love, heartache, forgiveness and more. All of that led to finally meeting Miles. Miles did a DNA kit test and got a match to Jenn, Aaron's oldest sister. He looked her up on Facebook and scrolled through her friends. He only had Aaron's first name from his birth certificate because it was a closed adoption. Miles found an "Aaron" in her friends on Facebook and looked at his profile picture. He saw Maddox in the picture and thought that could have been him years ago. He sent Aaron a Wave through Facebook Messenger. We were shooting at Soldier Hollow as a family when Aaron received the Wave. He showed me and happy tears just flowed. Fast forward half a year later, they finally met in person. It was the day before his mission homecoming talk. We traveled to Boise, Idaho and went over to his house and they embraced after all these years. We are so happy to have him in our lives. He comes from a beautiful family. He is so kind to our kids. It was funny telling Tilly that yes, you do have another brother! 7 brothers is a lot! My boys especially love having an older brother. We are excited to get to know him better, at his pace and be there as much as he wants. We love you forever, Miles.
