Off to Maryland

School was officially canceled for the rest of the year, along with the school play and Girl's Camp. There was nothing holding us back from going to be with Aaron in Maryland anymore, so we went. Cousin Madison drove with us the whole way across the country. I was so grateful to have another adult to switch driving with and help watch kids while taking others to the bathroom in the many gas stations we stopped at. With no one travelling because of Covid, gas was so cheap! In Missouri, we saw it for $1.009. We left as soon as Rex got his cast off and stopped for the night in Limon, Colorado. Day 2, we made it to Aunt Camarie's house and spent 2 nights at their house among the woods. They played, swam, explored and had a blast with their cousins. Camarie even taught us how to find ticks on us, which has proven very useful since being in Maryland. Day 3 of driving, we woke up at 4 am and were able to drive 5 plus hours without stopping. We were finally able to sink up our bladders better, which made for less frequent stopping! We made it to Dad's by 10 pm that night! The kids did so great with it all. We listened to a lot of Harry Potter and watched a lot of movies. It will take us a good month or 2 just to recover from that drive!
