Camping for Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend, we headed to Yuba Lake for a fun 2 night camping trip on the beach. I headed down earlier in the day to stake a claim on the beach. Several other parties tried to tell me we were in their territory, but I stood my ground and even got a fire ring and a table out of the deals! We had a great spot on the very end of South Beach. At nightfall, Aaron and Alicia and Travis met up and we set up camp. We kayaked, played in the sand, and enjoyed the amazing weather. Our kids made friends (of course!) and they enjoying playing games with them, fishing, digging deep sand holes. Our set up was comfortable for the kids with the new bunk bed cots. Aaron and I packed a holy air mattress and it deflated probably 70 percent after laying in it only a few hours. Our feet were in the air and our heads to bums on the hard ground. It felt like moving in a water bed. we haven't laughed that hard in a long time!!!! It was hilarious! Thankfully, Ashliegh and Nate brought an extra air mattress for us for the next night. The last day was extremely windy with a miroburst coming through and picking up a canopy and throwing it into the water. We will definitely be doing this again! It was such a fun weekend!
