Easter 2017

We had a nice Easter this year at the in-laws. We had lots of food with lamb as the main dish with lots of family. Apparently we are the last ones to get out at church (at 2) so they were starting dinner as soon as we got there at 3. I felt a little rushed with everything, but the kids, of course, had a great time! I'm hoping to do an event that is not such a Big Deal, meaning with everything homemade and everything so much work.  Paper and plastic and store bought food never killed anyone. Or did it? Anyway, the kids loved hunting for Easter eggs and searching for the golden eggs with money that Aunt Jenn threw in. I finally took the time to have the kids decorate and dye Easter eggs earlier in the week (my 1st time with them) and they loved it! My artsy fartsy kids loved it! We didn't do our holy week like we did last year since we were so much busier this year. But we still took time to talk about our Savior and his life and death and resurrection. He is the reason for the season and we love Jesus so much around here!
